Everpure sells all-flash storage systems and software, then earns recurring
revenue as customers renew support and Evergreen as-a-service contracts. The
company is growing far faster than its earlier scale, but recent demand mixes
unit growth with higher component prices, customer timing and large
hyperscaler contracts. We take management's low-end FY2028 revenue outlook,
then slow the growth sharply. Our central case reaches $9.0B by FY2031 with a
13% GAAP operating margin after stock compensation. Those long-run economics
are assumptions, not company guidance.

## Reported growth is strong; cash conversion has not kept pace

Q2 FY2027 revenue was $1.186B, up 37.7% year over year. Product revenue was
$687M and subscription services were $499M. Product gross margin was about
65% and subscription margin about 73%; consolidated gross margin was 68.4%.
GAAP operating income was $63M, or 5.3% of sales. The first half generated
$83M of GAAP operating income on $2.239B revenue, just 3.7%.

We could verify one recent guidance outcome. In Q1, management guided Q2
revenue to $1.095–1.105B; reported Q2 revenue of $1.186B was 7.8% above the
$1.100B midpoint. Q2 management then raised the FY2027 revenue midpoint from
$4.46B to $5.05B, a 13.2% increase. Two quarters are too little evidence to
call this a persistent forecasting bias, and component prices and customer
timing contributed to the acceleration.

The company raised FY2027 revenue guidance to $5.03–5.07B and gave a
preliminary FY2028 outlook of $7.0–7.3B. The latter implies roughly 39–45%
growth, if achieved. It is a management claim, not a forecast we have
validated across older guide cycles. Management attributes some acceleration
to customer wins and share gains, while acknowledging price increases and
component constraints. In Q1, management said about one-third of growth came
from price and customer pull-ins; on the Q2 call it said only some growth was
price-related. These are management descriptions, not audited volume splits.

Cash is the main near-term counterpoint. First-half operating cash flow was
$44M and capex was $170M, so reported free cash flow was negative $126M.
Management says this reflects advance component purchases and investment to
support demand; that may be temporary, but it ties up real cash while it
persists. Our comparable H1 owner-cash estimate is -$444M after keeping stock
compensation inside GAAP earnings and applying the model's 21% tax assumption.
That is not reported FCF: the reported cash-flow statement adds back $282M of
stock compensation and uses actual cash taxes. The model carries the reported
$421M non-lease working-capital use through FY2027 and assumes no further H2
change, so it does not book a reversal.

The opening $758M cash and securities less our $250M operating reserve is from
the latest balance sheet, dated 2026-08-02, and is counted once in today's
value. Central FY2027 owner cash for the full year is -$243M; subtracting the
comparable H1 estimate gives +$201M for the FY2027 remainder, recognized at
fiscal year-end. It includes cash flows since the balance-sheet date, some
already elapsed by the October 23 valuation date. The forecast retains $1.82B
of FY2028-FY2031 owner cash as well, with no interest or shareholder payouts.
The two retained amounts total $2.02B in the central exit bridge; future owner
cash is counted once, not added to opening cash today. The cash-bridge repairs
move central fair value from $31.03 to $34.50. Separately, removing the
duplicate $532.6M opening-cash claim lowers value by $1.02 per share; adding
future owner cash under the prior FY2027 working-capital convention adds $4.64;
replacing that convention with the observed H1 working-capital investment and
no H2 change lowers value by $0.80; removing the $225.3M operating-lease
liability claim adds $0.65 because GAAP rent is already included in earnings.
The Q2 filing also reports $385.8M of signed facility lease commitments not
yet commenced, with payments starting in FY2027-FY2031. The model assumes future
GAAP margins include their rent and does not subtract the commitments again as
debt; this adds uncertainty to the margin forecast. Q2 remaining performance obligations were $4.1B,
about 42% due within twelve months. RPO is not revenue guidance: timing,
acceptance and customer concentration still matter.

The business is not just a storage appliance maker. The company is pursuing
data management, virtualization, container software and larger hyperscaler
systems. It says these three newer vectors could together approach 20% of
FY2030 revenue. It has not published a segment forecast or margin bridge for
them. The Q2 call describes a second top-five hyperscaler design win whose
significant revenue begins in FY2028 or later; concentration and the timing of
those deployments make the contract a meaningful execution risk as well as
an opportunity.

## The market price assumes much more than our central case

At $122.30, the share price is 3.5 times our $34.50 central value and 2.0 times
the $62 bull value. A reverse valuation found no single tested headline input
that reaches the quote: even raising FY2031 GAAP operating margin to 30% gives
$75 per share. In 4,000 subjective draws, 1.1% reached the price; that is a
model-based scenario estimate, not a calibrated probability.

The Street's average target is $141.47 across 25 targets from the last quarter, or
$128.22 discounted one year at our 10.33% cost of equity. Its annual revenue
estimates are $5.1B, $6.9B, $8.3B, $11.9B and $7.8B for FY2027–FY2031, with
14, 13, 9, 4 and 3 analysts respectively. The FY2030-to-FY2031 reversal and
thin later coverage make that sequence a weak standalone forecast. Running
those revenues through our model at our GAAP margins produces $30 per share,
below our $34.50 central case because the Street's FY2031 revenue is lower. The vendor's
EPS path is $2.78, $4.19, $5.53, $9.52 and $4.88, with 13, 13, 3, 1 and 2
analysts. Treating EPS as after-tax profit and substituting it into our model
produces $70 per share, implying roughly 24–35% GAAP operating margins, far
above our 7–13% forecast. The EPS basis is unverified, so this translation is
illustrative. Both Street paths remain below the discounted target; neither
establishes the correct accounting basis or validates our forecast.

## Forecast: accept the near-term ramp, fade it after FY2028

Our model uses GAAP operating margins, so stock compensation remains a cost to common shareholders. It values the bear,
central and bull as separate outcomes rather than a confidence interval.

| US$ billions except margin | FY2027 | FY2028 | FY2029 | FY2030 | FY2031 |
| --- | ---: | ---: | ---: | ---: | ---: |
| Bear revenue | 5.00 | 6.10 | 6.50 | 6.80 | 7.10 |
| Central revenue | 5.05 | 7.00 | 7.70 | 8.40 | 9.00 |
| Bull revenue | 5.07 | 7.30 | 8.50 | 10.00 | 11.50 |
| Central GAAP operating margin | 7% | 9% | 10.5% | 12% | 13% |

The FY2027 central case uses the midpoint of current guidance. FY2028 takes
the low end of management's range. From there, central growth falls from 10%
to about 7% as component-price tailwinds, customer pull-ins and the initial
hyperscaler ramp mature. The 13% FY2031 GAAP margin assumes the product mix
and subscription economics recover after the present component-cost pressure;
it is below the current non-GAAP guide and leaves employee stock compensation
inside the cost base. A sustained margin below 10% is the main bear path.

We assume capex less depreciation of 2% of revenue centrally and working
capital of 10% of incremental sales after FY2027. For FY2027, reported H1
non-lease working-capital investment of $421M remains in the year-end balance;
we assume no further H2 change. The model holds 345.6M diluted shares flat and
assumes no future shareholder distributions. Flat dilution may overstate value
because H1 stock compensation was $286M; our model does not forecast future
repurchases or award issuance.

The central value is $34.50. A $1B higher FY2028 revenue path, scaled through
later years, adds about $4.54 per share. A one-point higher FY2031 GAAP
operating margin adds about $2.38. Those are model sensitivities, not
probabilities. Cost of equity is 10.33% (5.29% risk-free rate plus a 1.20
assumed beta times 4.20% equity premium). The beta is a judgment, not a
measured peer regression.

## What would settle the range

The next report should show whether revenue remains near the Q3 guidance
midpoint of $1.33B and how much of growth comes from product volume rather
than higher prices. It should also show whether subscription gross margin
recovers as component costs flow through the Evergreen//Forever installed
base, and whether advanced component purchases turn into cash generation.
The full-year $7B-plus FY2028 outlook is falsified by a material reset to
customer deployments, a cut in component availability, or a rising service
replacement burden that keeps GAAP margins low.

**Next results preview.** Everpure's March 2026 calendar lists November 18 as
an approximate Q3 FY2027 earnings date. The market-data capture used by our
checker estimates December 1; the company has not confirmed either as an exact
date, so forecasts are dated December 1 and remain due before the actual
release. For that quarter,
our revenue estimate is $1.33B (range $1.25–1.40B), close to company guidance.
We estimate GAAP operating income at $90M (range $40–140M); this is our
translation from the FY2027 GAAP margin path, not the company's non-GAAP
operating-profit guide. We expect product revenue of $810M ($740–860M) and
subscription services revenue of $520M ($500–540M), using Q2 mix and recent
growth as a starting point. We expect RPO of $4.3B ($3.8–4.8B), a judgment
around Q2's $4.1B. One $1B sustained revenue surprise in FY2028 changes
central fair value by about $4.54 per share in the model.

## Independence and limits

This report is **unblinded**. Before the operating forecast was fixed, the
author saw the raw SEC Q2 FY2027 10-Q, including a stock-option footnote that
uses the 2026-08-02 closing price of $77.17. The saved masked filing does not
contain that number; this was exposure to the unmasked filing. The author also
saw a Q2 Motley Fool quote widget ($121.66, +0.38%, +$0.46) and a Q1
StockAnalysis search snapshot ($130.05 at the September 29 close; $130.60
after hours). The forecast was committed before the dedicated market pass,
but that ordering does not restore independence. Commit 34ce55a records when
the forecast was fixed, not proof that it was independent. The operating
forecast uses none of those prices, current quotes, targets or Street
estimates; the market view and comparison above use the later quote.

A post-market audit removed an unsupported description of the mature-return
assumption: it was judgment, not a verified comparison with historical
company or peer returns. The correction changed no forecast input or printed
value; its per-share effect is $0.

This is a new local report; no earlier P/Everpure report exists here to
reconcile. The main open evidence gaps are a verified eight-quarter guidance
record, a historical series of GAAP returns on invested capital, a
company-provided bridge from non-GAAP to normalized GAAP margins, and a
reliable per-share dilution forecast. These are disclosed rather than filled
with invented numbers.
